To fulfil your booking, you must provide us with certain information such as your name, postal address and telephone number. Depending on how you choose to communicate with us we may also have your Email address or your Facebook contact. You will also be asked to provide us with additional personal information such as your vet and emergency contact.

Why We Need Your Information and How We Use It

We rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:

  • as needed to provide our services, give feedback and updates.

  • to comply with a legal obligation such as retaining information required by tax law.

  • as necessary for the purpose of our legitimate interests, such as compliance with the terms and conditions of our license.


Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about our customers is important to our business. We share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

  • Licensing Authority. We may need to give access to your information to comply with our licensing terms and conditions, such as spot checks and monitoring.

  • Veterinary. In order to obtain medical advice or assistance.

  • Compliance with laws. To respond to legal process or to government requests;


Data Retention

Computerised information such as email addresses or phone numbers are password protected. Your booking forms and any additional paper records are kept in a secure filing cabinet. We do not use cloud storage.

For tax purposes we use only your name and pets name and we must retain this information for a period of 5 years.

Application forms/emails/phone numbers are kept for 3 years from the last booking. After this time return guests will need to complete a new application form and have another meet and greet.

If you pay by cheque your bank account details are not kept once a cheque is banked.

Your Rights

If you reside in the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information.

  • Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the contact information below.

  • Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict our use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where we are required to store data for legal reasons) we will generally delete your personal information upon request.

  • Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about our use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
